Clara Mary Mono Hamilton Passed into glory Saturday evening 10/7/2017 Clara Mary (Mono) Hamilton of Central, SC passed away, Saturday evening at 5:47 PM in Anderson, SC. Her family was at her side. Clara was the Daughter of the late John Henry and Dora Hilda (Odette) Mono, of Carthage, New York. Clara was born April 28th, 1931 in Carthage New York. She had 14 siblings that are all Deceased, save 3, they are David Mono of Carthage , NY., Sheila Revera of Goldsboro, NC., and Sherry Orton of Carthage, NY. Clara was married to Floyd Martin (Pat) Hamilton of Herman, New York, October 9th, 1947. Clara was preceded in death by her Parents John and Dora, 11 siblings, her husband Floyd, daughter Clara Arlene (PeeWee) (Hamilton) Hutchins and her Granddaughter Abigail Claire Hamilton. She was the mother of seven children, Mrs Donna Kay Drelick(Larry) of Lowville, NY, Mrs.Tonicia Theo Bray (Bernie) of Central, SC., Clara Arlene (PeeWee) Hutchins, Deceased. Floyd John (Pajo) Hamilton of Central, SC., Jamie Lance Hamilton of Easley, SC., Billy Joel Hamilton of Chandler, AZ and Lon Patrick Hamilton (Tammy) of Central, SC. Clara was a devout Jehovah’s Witness and was baptized in July, 1972 at an International Assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses in New York City, NY. Clara was a devoted wife and mother and made her early home on their family farm in Lowville, NY, in 1986 she moved to South Carolina. Clara had a passion for studying home remedies and holistic herbalism and many times throughout her life was fondly referred to as Dr. Hamilton because of her knowledge and practical application of home remedies within her family and circle of friends, also because of her knowledge of illnesses and herbal treatments. Clara had a passion for family geneology and was the keeper of family history. She worked in her younger years at the Superior Grill, State St. in Carthage, New York. Clara had 15 grand Children, 30 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. She was a truly amazing woman, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
