Misty Michelle Longino

After a life well lived, but not long enough - Misty Longino passed away at her home on March 21st, 2026, peacefully & surrounded by her loved ones and loyal dogs. She was born in California on August 15th, 1977 - but made her way across the country with a short stint in Missouri and then settled in South Carolina with her mother and sister. She was also known as MJ, Mystical, Mimi, and Aunt Mimi. Misty was the first-born daughter of Cynthia & Jerry Moore. She was known for her obsession over eyebrows, her dogs, New Orleans, Margaritas, Riesling, sarcasm, and just living her best life. Her world revolved around her children Corine, and Xavier. She knows she wasn’t the perfect mother but believes she managed to raise two very good humans and was immensely proud of both her children. She felt even prouder when her two grandsons came into this world. They always kept a huge smile on her face. She loved to read and inherited a love for art in all forms from her mother and maternal grandmother. The older she got, the more obsessed she became with upcycled furniture, interior design, and just crafting in general. It was later in her life (2014) that she met the romantic love of her life Christopher (Gino). Together they traveled, made memories, and fell in love with becoming “foodies”. Her favorite places to travel with him were New Orleans, Western NC, and Folly Beach. Don’t worry, they made it further than those three locations (they have the stickers to prove it). Had she been graced with more time- they would’ve liked to travel the world together. In her lifetime she met and made so many friends in the service industry, and then the corporate field of staffing and construction. Her final employer was Spectrum Interiors of SC. She was never happier than being at Spectrum. Grateful for the opportunity and support they provided her, and how they went above and beyond during the hardest times of her life. She hopes they know she will be forever grateful to that family she made, and the impact they had on her life. Misty is predeceased by grandparents Loretta and Charles McJunkins & Frances and Donald Moore, mother – Cynthia Moore, sister – Laurisa Galbreath, & son – N. Xavier Johnson. As well as several other beloved family members and close friends. Misty is survived by her husband Christopher Longino, daughter Corine Jenkins (Michael), grandsons Michael and Elijah Jenkins, son’s Jabdiel and Josafat Hernandez, her father Jerry Moore, brother Brent Moore. Nieces and nephews Mackenzie and Brayden Moore, and Emma and Charlie Galbreath. Aunts Susan Rutherford (Don) and Lisa Murphy. She can’t forget her cousins that were more like sisters, as well as their children. Misty’s life can’t really be summed up in one obituary. She was the loving mother of two beautiful children as well as the loving grandmother of her two grandsons. She hopes to not be remembered for her fight with breast cancer – but remembered for all the good times and laughs you shared, as well as memories created. Misty wants you to not be sad for her departure, her body was tired and said, “no mas”. Now she’s been reunited with her family and friends that left before she did. She promises to watch over you and send you a sign when you ask. In lieu of flowers, she would like you to please donate to Greenville Humane Society. Adopt – Don’t Shop! The funeral service will be held for Misty on Thursday March 26, 2026 at Mountain View Funerals and Cremations 105 Florence St, Pickens, SC, 29671. The visitation will start at 12:00pm, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. Mountain View Funerals and Cremations are assisting the Longino family.
