Patricia R. “Ruth” Littleton Pickens, South Carolina Patricia R. “Ruth” Littleton, 85, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026. Born on September 14, 1940, in Greenville, South Carolina, Ruth lived a life marked by unwavering faith, deep love for her family, and a kind, generous spirit that touched all who knew her. Ruth was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Pickens, where she found strength in her faith and fellowship with her church family. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, and her legacy will continue through the generations she leaves behind. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, James Clifton “Bud” Littleton, and her cherished great-grandson, Garion Michael Barber. Ruth is lovingly survived by her three daughters: Sheila Stone of Travelers Rest; Sophia James and her husband, Jerry, of Easley; and Kim Keller of Norris. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Dawn Barber (Rick), Shana Lollis (Josh), Matthew Nix (Nicole), Lee James (Amber), Leanne Jaimes (Reinaldo), Leshay Campbell (Don), and Luke James (Jessi). In addition, Ruth is survived by 23 great-grandchildren, with one more great-grandchild expected soon. She found her greatest joy in her family and treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved. Ruth will be remembered for her gentle heart, steadfast faith, and the love she shared so freely with her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. The family will be at the home of Jerry & Sophia James, 105 Oaklane Dr. Easley SC, 29642. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Ruth’s devoted caregiver, Compassionate Comfort Care, LLC, and to the compassionate staff of Prisma Health Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness, and support they provided throughout her journey. Memorials in Ruth’s Honour can be made to BNC Ministries, P.O. Box 1994, Easley, SC 29641. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 12 PM to 1 PM in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home with Funeral Service to follow. A burial at West View Cemetery in Liberty, SC will follow. Mountain View Funeral Home is serving the Littleton Family.
