April Stegall Pickens, South Carolina April Stegall, age 44, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at her home. A native of Pickens County, April was born on March 17, 1978, daughter of Pamela Ann Crane and Curtis Lavern Muse. In addition to her parents, April is survived by a daughter, Michaela Stegall of Travelers Rest; a son, Conner Stegall of Pickens; a sister, Angie Simon of Pickens; a brother, Kenneth Muse (Alena) of Liberty; two nieces, Sierra Muse and Kylie Adams; seven nephews, Tyler Simon, Corey Simon, Brandon Simon, Alex Simon, Cameron Muse, Keenan Muse and Lane Muse. April loved her family, especially her two children, Michaela and Conner. She loved to cut up with her sisters, Angie & Alena, her brother, Kenneth and all of her nieces and nephews. She loved all animals, especially her cat Bell. Everywhere she went she had treats in her car for the dogs; they would come running when they saw her car. Next to her family was her love for her career as a detention officer and dispatcher, and was starting as a victim's advocate. Being a detention officer was her favorite part. She loved telling all the crazy stories about the prisoners and also of the comradery between her and her fellow officers. Her hobby was reading books; we couldn't keep enough books in the house. She could read a novel in two days. April had a very big heart; if she knew you needed something she would slip around and get it for you. We told her UPS, Amazon and FedEx knew her address by heart. She loved the color purple. Her nieces and nephews nicknamed her aunt (Urpple) and (Opple Urpple). Visitation will be held from 2:00PM - 3:00PM on Monday, May 9, 2022 in the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 3:00PM.
