David Kahililaulani Lindsey Pickens, South Carolina March 3, 1967 – August 5, 2021 David Kahililaulani Lindsey, husband of Elaine Marchbanks, and Papa to Aniah, Ariana and Adallie, passed away peacefully in his sleep to go be with his Lord and Savior. David was a man of faith. It showed in how he lived his life. He embraced a challenge and made it his gift. Anytime he saw you, it was like the first time. He always shared a smile and wanted to know about your family. He always welcomed and embraced the time spent together. David was an inspiration for those lucky enough to have spent time with him. It was always about his concern and love for others. God’s calling on David will be cherished in those that knew him. He inspired so many and made those in his presence feel so much better. He lived his life through his faith and shared that daily with those he loved the most. In addition to his wife and granddaughters, David is survived by Brett Hicks, Tyler (Jenny) Marchbanks and Hallie Marchbanks, along with numerous special aunts, uncles, cousins, from both the Lindsey and Cannon families. David’s family spreads from Pickens to Hawaii. He was loved so deeply and such a special part of so many family members in his life. David made an impact on all of the family and it was his strength and positive outlook that had such a profound impact on all who loved him. David was predeceased by his father, Staff Sergeant James Kahililauin Lindsey, who gave his life for his country in the Vietnam War on April 4, 1967, and his mother, Betty Cannon Lindsey of Pickens. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Camp Creek Baptist Church located at 116 Camp Creek Road, Central, South Carolina. The memorial service will be live-streamed on Camp Creek Baptist Church’s Facebook page simultaneously. The service will be available on the Camp Creek Baptist Church’s Facebook page for viewing for anyone who would like to view it following the memorial service. The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, and attendants who have cared for David. The family would like to especially thank Bowers Transport and Emergency Services for their dedication to David’s care as they helped transport David to appointments as needed. All of these people showed caring and loving support throughout his life. Memorials may be made in David’s honor to Camp Creek Baptist Church, 116 Camp Creek Road, Central, South Carolina 29630. Mountain View Funeral Home is serving the Lindsey family.
