Diann Winchester Reece

May 13, 1955 - April 10, 2022

Diann Winchester Reece Pickens, South Carolina Diann Reece, age 66, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 10, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Jerry Reece. They shared 41 years together. A native of Pickens County, Diann was born on May 13, 1955, to the late Elbert Eugene and Sara Jessie Lee Crenshaw Winchester. Diann retired from Pickens County School District after 26 years of faithful service. She served as lunchroom manager at A.R. Lewis and Six Mile Elementary Schools where she fed many children that she lovingly referred to as her “babies”. She was a member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her family, bird watching, cooking, and fishing with her husband. She will be remembered for her humble, kind, and loving spirit. In addition to her husband Jerry Reece of the home, Diann is survived by her cherished children; April Stewart of Pickens, Charity Griffin (Kenny) of Easley, and Damein Burnett (Jessica) of Pickens, grandchildren; Brooke McCall, Liberty Burnett, Emily Stewart, Sydney Burnett, and Connor Burnett, a great grandchild; Gavin McCall, and 3 sisters; Helen Dodgens (Jimmy Lee) of Pickens, Ruth Ann Wilson (Jim) of Pickens, and Janet Rowland of Hickory Tavern, in addition to many nieces and nephews. Diann was predeceased by her parents, a sister Shirley Winchester, and a brother- in-law Tommy Rowland. Flowers will be accepted. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 11:00 am in the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home with Reverend Kenny Griffin officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mountain View Funeral Home – Pickens Chapel is serving the Reece Family.
