Douglas Preston Anders (Doug) Liberty, South Carolina Douglas Preston Anders, age 70, passed away on Wednesday December 29, 2021, at his daughter’s residence in Liberty. A native of Pickens, Doug was born on January 12, 1951, to the late William Oliver and Mary Ellen Rhodes Anders. He was an outdoorsman, loved playing with his dog, watching football, and in his earlier years was a motorcycle enthusiast. Those left behind to cherish his memories include his daughter; April Dover (Brad), grandchildren; Seth Dover, and Emma Dover, his siblings; Joe Bill Anders and Faye A. Lyda, and his nieces; Christi, Kelli Jo, Robyn, Mindy, and Wendy. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday January 2, 2022, in the sanctuary of Norris First Baptist Church from 2 to 4 pm. Mountain View Funeral Home is serving the Anders Family.
