Ercel B. Pace

December 21, 1914 - February 6, 2021

Ercel B. Pace Pickens, South Carolina Ercel B. Pace, 106, wife of the late Hoyt F. Pace, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Easley Place in Easley SC. Ercel was born and raised on her family farm west of Pickens where she lived independently for 104 years. She retired from work after 29 years with Sangamo Electric. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and especially loved her cat Patches. Ercel enjoyed spending time visiting with her family, especially the extended Winchester family out west. Ercel was a member of the Pickens Garden Club, delivered Meals on Wheels, and graduated Pickens High School in 1932. Mrs. Pace is survived by her sons; Hugh D. Pace (Nancy) of Easley, Franklyn Pace of Canton Ga, grandchildren; Donna Pace (David Wingard) of Easley, Hughie Pace of Easley, step granddaughter Anne Antonoff. Ercel is predeceased by her husband Hoyt, her parents, James Frank Breazeale and Ealie Ann Winchester Breazeale, a sister Louise Ramsay, a brother Ivy Breazeale, daughter in law Alice Pace, and step granddaughter Elaine Pruitt. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 11:00am in the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Secona Baptist Church Cemetery. Mountain View Funeral Home is serving the Pace family.
