Joyce King Thorne

Joyce King Thorne Travelers Rest, South Carolina Joyce King Thorne, 77, daughter of the late Dewey and Elsie Barton King, passed away from this life on Tuesday January 25, 2022, at her residence. A native of Marietta South Carolina, Joyce was born on July 21, 1944. She enjoyed reading, playing piano, and doing puzzles. Joyce was a graduate of Slater- Marietta High School, and a lifelong member of Marietta First Baptist Church. Survivors include her son; Darryl Thorne of Travelers Rest, three grandchildren; Anna Thorne, Mandy Thorne, and Sabrina Thorne, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Ms. Thorne was predeceased by her parents, and two brothers; Larry King and Don King. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday February 1, 2022, at Mountain View Memorial Park in Travelers Rest starting at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Ms. Thornes honor to North Greenville University located at 7801 N Tigerville Road, Tigerville, South Carolina 29688. Mountain View Funeral Home is serving the Thorne Family.
