Myrna J. Hughes Pickens, South Carolina Myrna J. Hughes, 85, wife of the late Joe Frank Hughes, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Marchbanks Assisted Living & Memory Care Facility in Anderson. A native of Pickens County, Mrs. Hughes was born April 15, 1936, the daughter of the late Ess Hendrix and Blanche Bagwell Hendrix. Mrs. Hughes was a member of Griffin Baptist Church in Pickens. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and loved to fellowship with family and friends. Survivors include her daughter, Terri Aiken (Roger) of Marietta; grandchildren, Tessa Ellenburg (Eric) of Sunset, and Candi Aiken of Easley; great-grandchildren, Kayne, Brayden, Jackson, Christina, and Elizabeth; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hendrix. In addition to her husband and parents, Myrna was predeceased by a brother, Don Hendrix, and a sister, Nancy Elrod and her husband, Bill Elrod. Visitation will be held 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday, July 9, 2021 in the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM officiated by Rev. Mark Bernhausen. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
