Richard Larry Ellenburg

Richard “Larry” Ellenburg Pickens, South Carolina Richard “Larry” Ellenburg, 76, husband of Carolyn Aiken Ellenburg, passed from this life Monday, July 30, 2018. He was born in Greenville County a son of the late Lloyd Richard Ellenburg and the late Frances Spearman Ellenburg. Larry was a Veteran of The United States Air Force, a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church, a retiree of the FAA as a Air Traffic Controller with twenty-five years of service and a retiree of Pickens County as a 911 Dispatcher with ten years of service. Survivors include his wife Carolyn of fifty-five years of the home, children; Eric Richard (Tessa) Ellenburg of Sunset, Kenna Melissa (Mike) Dillard of Pickens, grandchildren; Jason (Jerussa) Dillard, Wesley Dillard, Ginny Dillard, Price Dillard, Brayden Smith, Jackson Crawford, Christina Ellenburg, Elizabeth Ellenburg, brothers; Gerald (Kathy) Ellenburg, and Mitchell (Renee) Ellenburg. Larry was predeceased by his parents and an infant daughter Lori Kay Ellenburg. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church officiated by Reverend Barry Dillworth and Reverend Scott Durham. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holly Springs Baptist Church, 3450 Table Rock Road, Pickens, South Carolina 29671. The family is at the home. Mountain View Funeral Home is serving the Ellenburg family.
