Sara L. Spivey Greenville, South Carolina Sara L. Spivey, age 100, widow of William Grady Spivey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 2, 2022. A native of Anderson County, Mrs. Spivey was born on August 1, 1921, to the late George Loveland and Annie B. Lockaby. She will be remembered for being a faithful long-time member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Mrs. Spivey was the last member of her immediate family. Mrs. Spivey is survived by a son; Phil Spivey (Judy) of Easley, her granddaughter; Lindsay Rollins, three great-grandchildren; Blake Nalley (Stephanie), Brooke Sargent (Collin), and Emma Campbell, and a special niece; Esther Hand that she loved like a daughter. In addition to her spouse and parents, Mrs. Spivey was predeceased by two sisters; Bettie Spivey, and Ruby Hollingsworth, a brother; Newton Loveland, and a great-grandson; Clint Robitaille. The family would like to thank Mrs. Spivey’s neighbor and special friend; Elaine Shortt, for helping take care of her the last several months. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church located at 3931 White Horse Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29611. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 2:00 pm located at 2410 Gentry Memorial Highway Pickens, South Carolina 29671.
