Ted Arnold Gillespie "Pa"

Ted Arnold Gillespie “Pa” Easley, South Carolina Ted Arnold Gillespie “Pa”, 77, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. A native of Pickens County, Ted was born on May 30, 1944, the only child of the late Joe Gillespie and Helen Adcox Gillespie. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the Atlanta Braves and Clemson football. Mr. Gillespie was of the Baptist faith and was a member Blue Ridge View Baptist Church in Pickens. Survivors include his children, Randy Gillespie (Heidi), Joey Gillespie (April), and Lori Chandler (Richard) all of Easley; stepsons, James Moore and John Moore, both of Liberty; grandchildren, Dena Gillespie, Allison Kiser (Adam), Tristan Gillespie, Bailee Duncan (Josh), Aubree Gillespie, Daren Chandler, Justin Chandler, and Weston Owen; a great-grandchild, Carver Jackson; and a very special friend, Brenda Moore. Mr. Gillespie was preceded in death by his parents. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 1220 Smith Grove Rd, Liberty, SC, 29657. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ted’s honor may be made to Landmark Baptist Church Youth, 116 Landmark Ct, Easley, SC 29640.
