John Gregory Kemper Central, South Carolina John Gregory Kemper, 68, of Central, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, March 3rd, 2025. He was the son of the late Bantz Eugene Kemper and Ollie Jackson Kemper, and loving husband of forty-six years to Janet James Kemper. John Kemper will be remembered as a man whose life was defined by his unwavering service to others and his example of God’s love. As a dedicated police officer, John viewed his work as a ministry, using his role to meet people where they were, offering kindness, understanding, and demonstrating the fruit of the spirit to everyone he encountered. John’s love for his wife, Janet, was fierce and constant for forty-six years, a love that was evident to all who knew them. His devotion to Janet, as well as his daughters Erin and Whitney, was a testament to the strength and depth of a father’s love. He set an example for them of what true love, faith, and integrity looked like, both in his actions and his words. A man of few words but a perpetual prankster, John’s laughter was contagious and brought joy to all around him. His humor and lighthearted spirit will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to share in his company. John's legacy will live on through his cherished grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He adored them with all his heart, and his love for them will continue to be felt for generations to come. John’s faith, kindness, and laughter will forever be woven into the lives of all who knew him. John is survived by his wife, Janet James Kemper of Central, SC, daughters, Erin Ring (Joshua) of Blythewood, SC, and Whitney Charles (Jonathan) of Fredericksburg, VA, grandchildren, Keegan John, Jadie Faye, Logan Garren, Emmalynn Denise, Kemper Jay, Margaret Claire, Sampson Eli, and brothers, Larry Kemper, Lark Kemper. John is predeceased by his parents, Bantz and Toddy Kemper, son, Randall Foster, and brother, Jay Kemper. There will be two memorial services. One at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Central, SC on Saturday, March 15 at 2:00 pm and one in Melbourne, Florida at a later time.
